There were times I just tried to make it through the day so I pushed myself not to think about you, not to text you, to show restraint. You weren’t talking to me, why would I talk to you? And then there’s the fact that I love you more than I love myself. I’d burn the world down to be with you and I used to think you would do the same but we are both too old to be playing tag. I really wasn’t trying to change you, I just asking you to meet me where I was and love me the I needed to be loved which is what I tried to do once I finally met you.
