I think I need to stop writing about you on here. I thought somehow it would help me, that putting my feelings into words might make things easier, but the truth is, it doesn’t. If anything, it keeps me holding on to something I know I need to let go of. As painful as it is, I need to move on. That doesn’t change the fact that I love you. I really do, and I know I will for a long time. Maybe a part of me always will. I hope you’re doing well, wherever life has taken you. We shared so much together. The hours and hours of phone calls, falling asleep together, watching movies, laughing, arguing, talking about our future and imagining a life together. There were moments when it genuinely felt like it would be us in the end. But those moments belong to the past now, and I have to accept that. I truly believe we both deserve to find a love that is right for us, and to eventually be happy, even if that happiness doesn’t include each other. It hurts more than I can explain to think that one day another woman’s child will have the eyes I fell so deeply in love with. It’s a strange kind of heartbreak, knowing that someone else may experience the life I once imagined for myself with you. But I suppose that’s life. Sometimes you can love someone with everything you have and still not be meant to stay together. And despite everything — despite the anger, the hurt, the things I said when I was hurting — I don’t regret meeting you. I know there were moments when I said I did, but deep down, I never truly meant it. You became such a significant part of my life, and I will always carry the memories of what we were. I know there is nothing left for us, not now and perhaps not ever. That is one of the hardest things for me to accept, but I know I have to. Baby, I miss you. More than I probably should. And I love you, even though I know I have to learn how to live without you. I genuinely wish you nothing but the very best in this life. I hope you find everything you’re looking for. I hope you’re happy. And I hope, one day, when I look back on us, I can smile at what we had rather than ache for what we could have been. Thank you for the memories. Goodbye. 💔
