I finally understand you a lot more now than I did back then. I understand why you got tired of me. Why you stopped trying to get through to me. Why my distance hurt you even when i didn't mean for it to. I thought I was just dealing with things the only way I knew how, but now I realize you were dealing with my actions, not my intentions. I can't go back and communicate better. I can't take back the times I made you feel like you were asking for too much when you were really just asking me to let you in.
I've grown since then. but sometimes growing means finally seeing the damage I caused after there's nothing left I can do about it. I'm sorry and thank you.
