if we’re on the same wavelength… Both too afraid to say the words aloud, yet they’re dancing across our eyes every time they lock. Is it just my delusion or is this real? The way your fingers dance across my ***** skin, leaving behind a subtle trail of goosebumps as you press your lips to my forehead and I fall asleep peacefully in your arms; what else could I see this as, if not something real? The way you make sure to involve me in your day, through hours of conversation, even when there are no amazing stories left to tell. We have both been broken and burned far too many times for one lifetime; walls built high around our hearts from years of battles lost and learned from. But it seems there are cracks splintering up the walls of my own fortress.. threatening to dismantle every defense I have put forth to protect my fragile soul from further foes disguised as lovers or friends. I wonder… I wonder if you feel the same.
