I was quite literally running out of answers until I met you. Then somehow, you became a universal truth to me.

I saw you. I understood you. Or at least, I wanted more than anything to. And the more I came to know you, the more I realized you were never the problem for me. I was.

You were never something I needed to solve. You were the answer I kept overlooking while I was busy trying to solve myself.

And somehow, even after being given something that precious, I still fumbled you in ways I never should have. I still mishandled the heart you trusted me with. I hurt something I should have protected. And I'm sorry. I don't think there's a clever enough way to dress that up or a beautiful enough apology to undo it.

But I can't help questioning my own reality sometimes.

Because I don't get to ask you for a picture of your beautiful face every day anymore. I don't get to reach for you. I don't get to hold you. I don't get one last hug. And I can't believe I didn't just steal one when I had the chance.

Because God, I could use one now.

Especially from you.

I think that's what I miss most—the little things I once had so casually that I never understood how sacred they were. Your face on my phone. Your arms around me. Your presence turning an ordinary moment into something I wanted to remember forever.

You became my answer to questions I didn't even know how to ask.

And maybe that's why losing you has left me with so many.

Because you were never the mystery.

You were my answer to all of them.
