You told me you needed space because listening to me vent about my problems was getting “too much for you” and was triggering your anxiety.
Okay. Fair point. I apologized, told you I didn’t mean to overwhelm you with my problems even though I was going through absolute ****. I recognized it was a lot though, and I did just that—I ****** off.
I left you alone for almost a month and was left feeling so rejected by you and abandoned, most especially whenever I’d see you hanging out with everybody else on your stories. Of course I told myself yeah, she’s allowed to have other friends. She’s allowed to hangout with other people. That’s fine.
Then, you finally break the weeks long silence by telling me you started dating someone. I wasn’t necessarily bothered by the fact that you’re dating someone. I was more so bothered because I knew that meant I’d hear and see less of you. And I was ******* right.
What was the point in us communicating our boundaries if you were going to just **** right off and spend all your time with your new boy toy? All that crap about “yeah maybe if we can just stay surface level right now, I’d be able to handle our friendship better.” And oh, “I don’t want to be a half-assed friend to you.”
Well, guess what? You already were. And for the past two weeks now, you’ve only reinforced that idea.
Have fun with your boyfriend. Enjoy your bouquets of flowers.
