You can still find me because of my online presence. It’s hard saying goodbye to the life we almost had here. It doesn’t work without you being here and sober and happy to be of service and that just wasn’t who you were.
Now I know why you were terrified to let your family back into your life. They enabled you to ghost a family you were part of as if we never mattered. You let it happen, initiated it to happen.
You broke the hearts of kids who called you dad, and someone who truly loved you. I hope it becomes the rock bottom that your enablers could never give you to lose us and that you actually do get sober.
I hope you don’t lie to yourself and say that making amends to me will cause more harm than good. It’s no benefit to anyone but your own ego to avoid it and not even that, if you are honest.
Don’t worry about me taking you back. The only way I would even consider it would be if you had a house and a bunch of services and a village lined up to help. One that can’t be swept away. Much more than B’s materialistic list, right?
I will probably have my own place and services that exceed it in place by then. I might even have a better man by then. I will be somewhere you’ve never been and don’t know how to get to.
