That is to say, the sooner you realize you are mortal. The sooner you realize that everything matters. From a point of humility, I say this although it remains a melancholy, yet ever so relevant point. Everything that has happened, you cannot change. The past is your depression seeping through the edges of your reality. If you think too much, you remain stuck in a position of always wanting to be somewhere else. Anxiety is caused by thoughts of the future, what happens, what will be, yet no one knows. To remain in the past, and to remain in the future, aren't the same as remaining in the present moment. The present is called as such because it is a gift to us, a gift of sound minded groundedness.

I am mortal. I am nothing but flesh and bones at the end of the day, but the real question is, "how far will that flesh and bone take you, if nothing controls it but you?"
