The damn Magic Man has had an odd dream reoccurring lately. It’s this one where everything goes just like how I said it would. And I’m able to bless all with what I’ve always felt to give them. But all of a sudden I start to walk and I end up slowly being by myself as I further my steps.
And then, a crown ends up on my head with two huge halos intermingled with a blue globe in the middle of them rotating slowly floating above it. Then people come rushing to me yelling YOU DID IT!! YOU MADE IT!! CONGRATULATIONS!! And it’s this huge celebration everywhere in the streets in all directions.
But then these images start flashing through my mind like a daydream of all these family I created. Mothers and various children. And theirs mothers all have different expressions but the kids are all smiling.
And that’s when I hear them all say at once “ now everybody say good by to your father. The hero”…..
And with out walking they all just slowly slide backwards without move a muscles into the crown as they slow fade into see through images of themselves. Gaining speed.
I run as soon the departure happens but the crowd get thicker and closes the gap before finally they disappear like mist when it evaporates. And I look up to the sky and hear a whisper in my ear, “ you did what you said.”
I yell out, “ but I did it for you too, I said I apologize… LET ME GIVE YOU YOUR GIFTS AND ME“……. And silently I hear back. “ Your Sorry, and YOU, are not enough anymore “……
My heart begins to pound… I suddenly grow wings that are never the same color every time for some reason…. And with those I take off like a rocket into the sky chasing this whisper reaping it last statement this is clearly eluding me no matter how fast I go…. Eventually I’m goin so fast you would think I’m about to leap through TIME…. And then suddenly a flash, brother than the sun.. blinding me And I begin to fall And then I wake up… Sweaty. Exhausted A suddenly less hopeful Yet still obligated And I always say “ Damn… I ****** HATE sleepin “…… Then roller over, and go right back. Try it again once more
