The one's where I have a dream you've opened a snap, and responded with something simple:
"I'll make time"
Something no one can make, but especially not now. Never you for me, not anymore. That in itself is okay.
It's waking to see the solid blue or red arrow greeting me when I hoped to see the empty blue text cloud that ***** me every time. It's the fact that my slumbering heart and brain refuses to accept the simple truth of my waking reality:
You're gone, and you're not coming back.
It's the waking nightmare of your absence that still haunts me, and I hope the ghost of you fades from my memory entirely one day.
Until then I'll just keep reminding myself:
There's nothing to wait for.
