I feel jealous towards couples in a healthy relationship. Not because they love each other and do fun couple things. It’s not even about that. Life is just so much better and easier when you have a trusted person by your side to help support you emotionally, physically, financially. Being single isn’t just lonely, it’s also scary. Especially when you don’t have family of your own. Having a partner and building my own family is my greatest goal in life because I’ve never known love and support like that. It’s a scary realization that it’s not guaranteed to happen. I know most people do, but I also don’t want to settle. I’ve done enough of that. But even in the previous relationships I’ve had (that weren’t so great), it still felt amazing just knowing I had a partner and someone to lean on, even if their support wasn’t consistent.
