The illusion of what you’ve done. Hollow and shapeshifting, reflecting my best qualities and wearing them like a mirror. Using my words and my depth to prop yourself up. You might not be exposed yet. You might of pretended like you changed but you are the same person as you always have, I understand now when you said your ex accused you of abuse. I completely get it, now the memories, you used me from the very start. The fact you got me to pick you up just to get to him when he moved on with someone else. The look of fear in his face when we met him at that wedding. And you took me responding supportingly to your lie as consent to dig your nails in on me.
Everything you said is in doubt, no self reflection, only self protecting. You cared more about how you would look coming out of this, than you did about the truth. Gaslighting to the max, you don’t want to be seen. The illusion faded last Christmas, when you told me to do something and then criticised me for doing it. Your mental gymnastics is phenomenal. You can threaten me, try ruin my life, try to shame me. But I’m not ashamed, I’m not the villian. And when they see how hollow and miserable you are without me around to copy they will see it.
Concerned? No, controlling. I am no longer your toy to play with. In the words of the song you hate.
