I lay awake until my eyes are so heavy I have to sleep, because the minute they close they are filled with dreams of you. That hurts me more than any nightmare I have ever had.
I am haunted by you, a person I could have chosen to fight for but decided to walk a way as I thought that was the best thing for us both.
The worst part is opening my eyes every morning, reaching for my phone expecting a message to be there and then theres nothing. Those two minutes of time where you're still mine, you still want me, you still love me, I'm still your baby destroy me over and over again every morning.
You get one great love in a lifetime and this lifetime gave me you. I cant move on from that, I cant eat, I cant sleep, I plaster a smile on my face and do what needs to be done all whilst counting down the hours until I can go back to bed and cry.
I know you're throwing yourself in your own distractions. I know you've deleted social media and changed your number. Maybe I am delusional but I still hope that one day we get our happy ever after.
