That you never loved me back. It hurts that I invested so much time, energy, and even money to be met with nothing. You were very clear about not wanting me in the way that I wanted you but damn I loved you fiercely. If you had returned my feelings, I know we would have made it work. I’m relentless in that way. I have to let it go though because if we’re being totally honest, I want you to be happy and I know that I don’t make you happy. Or at least you’ve never said so. I’m tired of hurting from not being chosen or appreciated. I deserve to be loved as intensely as I love you. I need to heal from this heartbreak and maybe eventually, that love will find me.
