It’s been almost a year since you disappeared. Not a word before it, just … gone.
I dream about you sometimes. Generally just random things. At some of those favorite places you showed me photos of, doing mundane things, just enjoying each other’s company.
I’ll never know what made you decide go just disappear. I wish I did. Maybe things got a little too real, and the reality of the distance got scary. Maybe you got to feeling things more that you didn’t expect, and it was easier to go away than deal.
I do miss you. Probably more than I should. I do hope you miss me. And while I hope you do come back I don’t expect it. But more than anything, I hope I do invade your dreams as well from time to time. At least then you’ll feel a little of what I’ve felt.
